Bodybuilding Fitness/Figure Competition

Jill Owens, owner of F.I.T. BODY Personal Training Studio took home the Gold at the 2002 Heart of Texas Bodybuilding Fitness/Figure Classic, which was held at the Plano Convention Center on September 28, 2002. The show, sponsored by Optimum Fitness, a leader in fitness industry, was yet another success for promoter, Prince Harrison. With over 150 contestants, the show was most likely the largest regional show in Texas. Categories such as male and female bodybuilding, women’s fitness and figure as well as masters categories were all part of the days events.

Jill, a reining figure champion from the Lone Star Classic and Ronnie Coleman Classic both held in June of this year, adds yet another victory to her statistics by securing a first place win in both the Figure Tall and Figure Master categories…a feat which only she has accomplished in local/regional figure competitions. As Jill entered the stage all contestants knew she was reining champion and the one they would have to get past to secure the top spot. But they were no match for the killer physique, awesome beauty, poise, grace and confidence she exhibited throughout the entire competition

The H.O.T. was most likely her final regional competition for a while. She is Nationally ranked 9th(2002 Team Universe National Figure Competition – New York, July 9,10) and will set her sights on national and Jr. National competitions in the upcoming year. Whatever and wherever the competition, Jill will always standout as an overall strong competitor and has the potential to always take home the gold.
